Yep! Leopard is not that perfect yet!
I’ve been enjoying my macbook air a lot lately, specially on my travel to US. I’ve tried to convince my friend and colleague Abdu on getting macbook air instead of macbook pro but then he already had his mind set on mbp. And trust me, there is a huge weight difference between those two laptops.
So anyway, everytime someone asks me how my mba.. I get to say “oh it is perfect, I am lovin’ it!” and that is the truth. The computer is solid but then I kept getting random high-tense CPU usage just with browsing. And I knew that got nothing to do with hardware capabilities cause I wasn’t running anything intensive.
So I did some analysis on Console logs on Leopard and I get to find spindump “Responsible for creating hang reports” is going nuts so had to kill it on terminal with:
sudo killall -c "spindump" && sudo killall -c "ReportCrash"
And that worked magically. Now, I am waiting for the patch from Apple to get this fixed.
And yes, this is better than Vista anytime anyday.
