What a bad night with the car!
So anyway, I felt like driving my car after I surfed clublexus.com to get to know more about my car and how sweet it is… So I went for a drive and figured that I should get something from McDonalds, so I went to the drive-thru to get my order and was all happy about it after long wait but not for long.
When the $*#)(*$# McDonalds guy handed my pop “Coke” and I am about to place it on my cup holder, all I see is the cap popping out and spelling all of my coke on the “gearbox, seats, Navigation System, steering, etc” and I was like oh shit and I hoped that none of the electronic stuff to go haywire and thank god nothing went bad.
Then the next thought started bugging me which was “Oh Great! now everything is going to end up being sticky, specially my gearbox control” so I started wiping everything out with the napkins I had and I think I got most of it all but not underneath the gearbox…
So I hurried up to my home to figure something out and I remembered I read somewhere on clublexus.com explaining how to hack the nav-system to enable to watch/control DVD, GPS, Bluetooth phone, etc while the car is on the move.. and to do so, the middle compartment had to be removed to reach to the nav-system wires.. and to be honest, I was all shaky about it in fear that I will break something or end up making things worse.. so I was like “screw it” and there I did it!
Here are pictures that illustrates what I kinda did to end up having access to clean the gearbox:

So, since I was able to do those easy steps “though, they were breathtaking for being a first timer”, I guess tomorrow will be the day for me adjust wires connection and grounding the handbrake wire to allow me to watch a movie with 7.1 surround sound system in the car!
And if you don’t know what car I have, then here is a picture of Lexus IS 350 2007 model:
