Watch out Web 2.0 community, Vox is here.

Vox, New blogging service designed by SixApart was launched recently.  This blogging services is crossed with a social network, the platform was designed in a very impressive way for non-technical people and families.

After trying Vox out, I have to admit that it is very easy to use with the ajax system they have. You do have the ability to do a privacy control better than other competitors, can add web services into it, and the ability to have neighbors.

The privacy control is very tight, you are able to control exactly who gets to see each of your posts and photos, see all the posts from your friends and family on one page and bring in content from other web services you already use such as (Amazon, YouTube, Flickr, and more).

I did notice that Vox design was mainly inspired by LiveJournal and has elements of social networking built into the service. But it does beat LiveJournal in many aspects such as the design template, ease of usage, and ajax powered.

But anyway, there are concerns in the community regarding SixApart and if it will neglect its other properties. I guess we will have to wait and see.
