Quick note: My Social Data should go where ever I go!

I just woke up with tons of tweets and almost a spam on my google reader on how the well known blogger Robert Scoble got temporarily banned from Facebook due to "TOC violation"?… Well, what he tried to do was… to run a script by Plaxo Plus that accessed the social network and “scraped” data from it and that includes email addresses and birthdays.

Apparently, that violates Facebook terms of use and so he got automatically banned by Facebook bots. But anyway, with all respect to Scoble, I could careless if he gets banned form facebook or not…but this whole things raises a big issue over here and that is "Whose data is it anyway?"

In my opinion, Scoble or anyone else should have the ability to move their data as long as the actual contacts consent for it. But I DON’T think Facebook will be that open anytime soon..I mean come on, FB even refused to join OpenSocial initiative…
