Personal Experience: How to increase traffic to your blog
Well well well… Since I’ve change the course of my blog to purely web analysis, my site ratings went into a huge dive-in and I wasn’t sure how to bring it up to speed in short-time…
So anyway, I went to go my Google Analytics and check what keywords bring up my site and I made sure my blog’s tags/categories revolve more around those keywords..
Then, I got my blog into Google Webmaster, where I registered it along with robot.txt file which assists the search engines on what content I have and where they are at…
Then I looked up Google Webmaster further, checking up the Diagnostics where it can tell me what Googlebot sees in my blog, Top Search Queries, crawl stats, index stats, etc. And that gave me better idea of where to tweak in my site’s configuration.
And finally, I installed few plugins.. and the most important one was wordpress site-map xml generator, which will assists search engines to find your content… sweet huh?
Of course, there are additional things you can do to boost the traffic to your blog.. from social bookmarking your content to leaving impressive comments on other similar-type blogs out there..
