Another thing about meebo & opensource
Other than how great meebo is and their team work and such, meebo started from another existing project called “gaim”, an opensource project that combines all instant messengers into one.
Meebo creators started by stripping gaim’s source down to the classes and functions they need to get started. And that is where meebo was born from.
And if you think about it, that is how everything is from digg.com to even joomla, it is about stripping other source codes and then give it another suit from there to look different.
So honestly, it really comes down to your imagination and how much of time you are willing to put into it to get it going.
My career will swing shortly after I get all the resources that I need to start my 1000 mile project, which will start with the first mile in a week or two.
That was my quick thought.
