And M$ fights Adobe back! Silverlight is announced!
Other than my team and I should have been present at the 2007 National Association of Broadcasters conferece, we get to miss the crossfire between microsoft and adobe…
With Adobe’s announcement "check my previous post" of Internet Video Player that can threatern M$ windows player, Microsoft just did a kung-fu flying kick back at Adobe by releasing Sliverlight which is basically rewrap of their Windows Presentation Foundation. M$ states silverlight as a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in delivering the next generation of media experiences and rich interactive applications (RIAs) for the Web.
Check these two bloggers "Tim Sneath, Microsoft Blogger & Ryan Stewrt, ZDNET blogger" of what they are saying about Siverlight. One of them is saying Microsoft has finally found the an easy web video solution.
In my conclusion, this whole thing is good for us as consumers… we get to pick and choose

Interesting..but not surprised! Microsoft has done it many times in the past where everytime they come with a new WMP or something, it ends up not compatible with Linux…
I just read this article “Silverlight disrupts Linux users”, which mentions those points…. but will see:

Currently building a new site. Hope to launch in mid-May. Let me know what you think.

Take a look at the downloads and you’ll see that ‘cross-platform’ means XP Vista OSX, according to Microsoft.
