Al Jazeera wants you! - YouTube Live - Al Jazeera Services
Let me try to squeeze all 3 different topics into one blog post….
Well, Here is the first one:
Al Jazeera Wants you!
No seriously, Al Jazeera wants to you have your say in regards of anything that is related to News / World chaos events / etc. After the success of Al Jazeera English launch of its YouTube channel and its "Have Your Say" via YouTube, Al Jazeera Arabic channel has just "officialy" launched its youtube channel as well as "Have your Say" service. If you are not sure of what "Have your Say" is, basically… now you can log into YouTube and visit either Al Jazeera English / Arabic channel and leave a video feedback of what you think… and then if yours was good enough, millions of people will get to see it on TV… cool huh?
Here is the video of one of our Arabic presenters asking YouTube viewers to submit their feedbacks:

Also, in case if you have missed it, my colleague, "Mohamed Nanabhay" blogged about this project and in fact he posted the air promo that we had on Al jJazeera TV channel. And here is the promo:

Anyway, Here is the second one:

YouTube Going Live! Videoblogger Sarah Meyers managed to squeeze some fresh info from YouTube co-founder Steve Chen: live video is coming to YouTube in 2008. See the video interview below.
If you’re finding it hard to understand just what the hell is being said, NewTeeVee was nice enough to do a transcript. Here goes:
Meyers: “When are you guys gonna do live video on YouTube?”
Chen: “2008. We’ll do it this year. Live video is just something that we’ve always wanted to do, we’ve never had the resources to do it correctly, but now with Google, we hope to actually do it this year.”
So, it’s not 100% certain as they only hope to do it this year, but it’s good to know they’
re working on it.
The final story!
